Mérindol (l’Eglise)

Pour cette peinture de Mérindol, j’ai placé mon chevalet à la lisière nord du village. Vu de cette distance, c’est le clocher de l’église Ste Anne en forme de “bulbe” qui démarque Mérindol des autres villages en Provence.

For this painting of Mérindol in Provence, I set up my easel on the north edge of town. From this distance the most distinguishing feature of Mérindol is the bulb-shaped bell tower of the church of Ste Anne.
